Moving a piano requires the care and expertise that Bells Moving and Storage have. We move all types of pianos from an Upright Iron Frame to the Tasmanian Symphony’s Concert Grand.

The Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, the TSO (Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra) and the ABC are just three of our major clients.

In the early 1990’s we moved a batch of musical instruments, including 38 pianos in relocation from Mt Nelson Campus to their new home in the city of Hobart.

The lift in t he building was not large enough to accommodate the pianos so we hired a crane and moved the pianos from the container in the top floor window.

We shipped the Stewart Piano from the manufacturer in Newcastle to the Conservatorium of Music building and back to Newcastle a few years later for maintenance. The Stewart Piano is a specialist full size concert grand piano made from rare Huon Pine and needed to be moved with specialised care throughout the Interstate journey.
